Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day is a great tradition and an
excellent excuse to party in the middle of March. Even those without a drop of
Irish blood can be Irish for a day!
Every area of the Greater Phoenix area, North, South, East
and West will be seeing Green this Wednesday, February 17th in
Celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

- St.
Patrick’s Day Party at O’Donoghue’s
Irish Pub in North Scottsdale Arizona’s authentic Irish Pub,O’Donoghue’s,
is celebrating the St. Patrick’s Day holiday by hosting a special “St.
Patrick’s Day Party” event on Wednesday, March 17. The festive party begins with an authentic
Irish Breakfast at 6 a.m. the fun goes on all day!

Four local bars are hosting the Ultimate Block Party this St. Patrick's Day ! Admission

Not going out? How ‘bout a special St. Patty’s Day Cocktail
to get your Irish up? We have a recipe
or two that might tickle your Irish fancy.
Really,
forget the green beer. If you want to drink beer like the Irish a pint of
Guinness will do. If that’s too bold for you, you might try one these to toast
to the Irish.
Often,
St. Patrick’s drinks are green thanks to liqueurs like crème de menthe or
Midori or may feature the best spirits of Ireland.
EMERALD ISLE
You
will find that the Emerald Isle is a minty gin cocktail perfect for St.
Patrick’s Day parties. A dash or two of bitters does help the drink
considerably. While aromatic bitters are customary, mint bitters are an equally
nice compliment, and if you’re feeling a little wild, orange bitters are quite
interesting also.
Ingredients:
1 oz
gin
1 tsp
crème de menthe, green
2
dashes bitters
Preparation:
Pour
the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled
with
ice cubes.
Shake
well.
Strain
into a chilled cocktail glass.
EVERYBODY’S IRISH
With
an olive or not, Everybody’s Irish at least while they are drinking this green
cocktail, or say you can claim anyway.
This is a very green cocktail, perfect for serving at St. Patrick’s Day
parties. You’ll want to be sure to use the green varieties of both liqueurs to
get that perfect shade.
Ingredients:
2 oz
Irish whiskey
1
Tbsp crème de menthe, green
1
Tbsp Chartreuse, green cocktail olive for
garnish
Preparation:
Pour
the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with
ice
cubes.
Shake
well.
Strain
into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with the olive. |
